Character History
Cam Jones resides in Vice City and owns his own business, Cam's Can Openers. Cam is a safecracker who was arrested by the Vice City Police Department after he was seen running down the streets with a safe he couldn't open. He was jailed at the Washington Beach Police Station, waiting trial for attempted robbery. Tommy Vercetti frees him later on for a bank heist he's planning on pulling off, where Cam was chosen to be Vercetti's safecracker.
Possible Death
- Tommy Vercetti: Shame that Cam didn't make it, he was a good guy!
- Phil Cassidy: Yeah.
- -Tommy and Phil mourning Cam's death, if he parished during the bank heist.
The death of Cam Jones is up to the player. The player can choose to let Cam die during the bank heist or choose to save him and Phil Cassidy. If Cam dies, the script indicates that Tommy and Phil get a bigger profit from the heist even though the reward remains the same.
VCBI Record
The Vice City Bureau of Investigation has a file on Jones:
- Claims to be expert safecracker. Expertise is thankfully dubious.
- Currently awaiting trial for attempted robbery. Was caught running down the street with safe he couldn't open. Likely to get ten years.
- Confirmed kleptomaniac.
- We believe he often works with Phil Cassidy.
- Legal representation from Rosenberg & Associates. Certin to be sent down. Rosenberg can get even an innocent man put away and Jones is known to be guilty.
- Thought to have issues with women and bank managers.
