Busted

Being Busted refers to the player being arrested by the police or any other type of law enforcement in a Grand Theft Auto game. The player can only get busted if they are wanted by the police. If the player has a high wanted level, the police will then try to kill the player rather than arrest them, resulting in the player being wasted, if killed. Sometimes, the police will also try to arrest the player at a high wanted level if they have the chance.

The player is considered "Busted" if the police is holding the player at gun point. When the player gets busted, they will lose all their weapons, body armor, and will fail the mission that they were on. If the player was driving a vehicle at the time they were caught, they will also lose that to. When released, the player will respawn at the nearest police station and the police will take a small amount of your money as a bribe.
