Sir, Yes Sir! is a mission in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City given to protagonist Tommy Vercetti by Juan Garcia Cortez from his boat in Ocean Beach.

Cortez explains to Tommy that he has a buyer for a piece of military hardware "a tank" and that its being taken through town by a military convoy to Fort Baxter Air Base. He wants Tommy to steal it from them, while avoiding heavy gunfire, and drive it to one of his lock-ups in Little Havana. Tommy drives to the convoy, which has stopped at a doughnut shop in Little Havana, kills any soldiers around the tank, and takes it to the lock-up before it explodes*.

*This mission becomes a timed mission after entering the tank for the first time. After entering the tank, a detonation meter will pop up on screen, meaning that the player has a time limit to deliver the tank to the lock up before it self-destructs.

The reward for completing Sir, Yes Sir! is $2,000. The mission Death Row is now unlocked unlocked. The player will also unlock the ability to obtain a 6-star wanted level.

  • This mission is the only mission in the game that involves the Military.
  • Once the tank is entered for the first time, the security protocol Delta India Echo is triggered. In the military phonetic alphabet, it spells DIE. The protocol will destroy the stolen tank after a certain amount of time, killing the operator.
