The VCPD Wintergreen takes its appearance of a modified Harley-Davidson Electra Glide, a motorcycle that real-life police officials use for their departments. The bike has minor features that are different in the Playstation Portable version and the Playstation 2 version of the game. In the PSP version, the windsheild is slightly shorter than in the PS2 version. Around 1986, its believed that the Vice City Police Department may have retired the bike, as it isn't featured in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.Unlike the department's cars itself, the VCPD Wintergreen boosts a black paint color instead of green. It also features only red strobe lights. Unlike a regular Wintergreen, another bike in the game, its features are the same except that the VCPD Wintergreen's speed and acceleration has been approved. Similar to a Freeway, the VCPD Wintergreen requires moderate use of brakes to allow the player to turn as sharp corners. Also the player can shoot forward like any other bike in the game, making the vehicle ideal for use in Vigilante missions, as long as the tires don't get punctured.
VCPD Wintergreens follow the player it the player has a wanted level of 1 star, but dissapear at higher levels since the bike is weaker than most law enforcement vehicles.
